Spanish ECT – Outstanding School in Croydon (Immediate start) Location: Croydon, London Start Date: As soon as possible Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale on a direct contract. Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Spanish ECT looking to begin your teaching career in an inspiring and supportive environment? An Outstanding Ofsted-rated mixed’ secondary school in Croydon (ages 11–18) is seeking a dedicated and creative Spanish Teacher (ECT) to join their successful Spanish Department from As soon as possible. About the School This high-performing, inclusive school is renowned for its excellent teaching, strong academic results, and exceptional pastoral support. ECTs at the school receive fantastic mentoring, a structured induction programme, and access to continuous professional development to help them grow into confident, accomplished teachers. The Role As a Spanish ECT, you will: Teach engaging and well-planned lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5. Contribute to the ongoing success of a collaborative and high-achieving Spanish Department. Participate fully in school life, including enrichment activities and extra-curricular clubs. Receive tailored guidance, training, and mentoring from experienced colleagues. Requirements Is completing their PGCE or equivalent qualification and will hold QTS by January 2026. Has a genuine passion for Spanish and for helping young people reach their potential. Demonstrates creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Is a strong communicator with excellent classroom management skills. Values teamwork and is eager to contribute to a supportive learning community.
