Job description
We are working with a high-performing independent academy in Islington seeking a dedicated and visionary Geography Teacher. The leadership team understands the importance of work-life balance for high-performing professionals and ensures your timetable is optimised for both teaching and high-quality, collaborative planning. The Role & Responsibilities Working within a specialist faculty, you will handle the vital instructional work that drives our students' exceptional progress and fosters a genuine love for environmental logic. Subject Mastery: Delivering Geography across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, with an emphasis on both physical processes and human geopolitical systems. Fieldwork Coordination: Leading sophisticated residential and local fieldwork enquiries, utilising London as a living laboratory. Data-Driven Progress: Utilising advanced digital assessment tools and GIS to monitor progress and tailor instruction to individual learning trajectories. Professional Mentorship: Acting as a lead practitioner to support the department in refining schemes of work for the upcoming academic cycle. Requirements Degree: A strong degree in Geography or Environmental Science. QTS: Required for this permanent role. Right to Work: Candidates must possess the legal right to work in the UK. Salary & Contract Details Salary Range: £40,317 – £62,496 (M1 – UPS3 equivalent) Hours: Full-time | Permanent | ASAP Start
