Job description
A prestigious independent 11–18 day and boarding school in Christchurch, Dorset is seeking an ambitious and inspiring Science Teacher to join their thriving Science Department from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent role, offering the opportunity to teach in a setting renowned for academic achievement, curiosity-driven learning, and a strong culture of pastoral care. About the Role The appointed teacher will deliver Science across KS3–KS5, specialising in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at A Level. Lessons are designed to be highly interactive and inquiry-based, with access to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. The successful candidate will help students connect scientific principles with real-world applications, promoting analytical thinking and experimental precision. You will be responsible for preparing pupils for GCSE and A-Level examinations, contributing to the department’s excellent track record of results. Beyond the classroom, there are opportunities to lead or support STEM enrichment programmes , science clubs, and academic societies, as well as contributing to the wider co-curricular life of the school.
