Job description
Short summary A welcoming Surrey primary is recruiting a skilled Reception Teacher to lead Early Years from January 2026. The Reception Teacher will undertake planning prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026. We seek a Reception Teacher who creates language-rich provision and secures strong Early Learning Goal outcomes. School overview This Surrey school offers excellent indoor/outdoor provision and a highly trained Early Years team to support the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will be part of a reflective staff body and will access EYFS-specific CPD from January 2026. Principal duties The Reception Teacher will lead systematic phonics and daily story times as the Reception Teacher, design continuous provision indoor and outdoor as the Reception Teacher, and assess progress against the Early Learning Goals as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will liaise with families, support transition into Year 1 and prepare materials before and after January 2026. Candidate essentials Applicants must hold QTS/EYTS (or equivalent), have confident EYFS practice and be skilled at building parental partnerships. The Reception Teacher must be available for pre-start planning prior to January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026.
