Job description
Location: Hackney, North London Start Date: January Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term Pay Rate: £90–£105 per day About the School A forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Hackney is seeking a motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January. The school has a strong reputation for inclusion, staff development and pupil wellbeing. The SEN provision supports pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties , and the school takes a child-centred approach to support, ensuring every pupil feels valued and understood. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally. You will work alongside teachers and SEN staff to provide structured, consistent support that enables pupils to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Supporting SEN pupils in class and in small groups Providing emotional and behavioural support Assisting with differentiated learning tasks Encouraging independence and confidence Supporting positive behaviour strategies Working closely with teaching staff and SENCO Ideal Candidate SEN or primary school experience Patient, proactive and adaptable Strong communication skills Passion for supporting vulnerable learners What’s on Offer Supportive working environment Ongoing training opportunities Long-term stability Opportunity to make a real impact Safeguarding The school is committed to safeguarding children.
