About the School A highly regarded independent day and boarding school in Dorset is seeking a passionate Art Teacher to join their vibrant Visual Arts Department from January 2026. The school, with around 800 pupils, is known for its artistic excellence and commitment to developing creativity across all subjects. With an emphasis on personal expression, technical skill, and innovation, the school’s Art Department has produced numerous award-winning young artists and photographers. About the Role This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to teach Art & Design across KS3–KS5 in an inspiring environment. The successful candidate will deliver lessons in a wide range of artistic disciplines, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, and digital media. You will guide students in developing their creative portfolios for GCSE, A-Level, and university applications. The department benefits from spacious, light-filled studios, a darkroom, printmaking suite, and a Mac suite for digital design. The school encourages interdisciplinary collaboration between Art, DT, and Photography, ensuring a contemporary and relevant creative curriculum.
