Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and committed SENCO to join our welcoming and ambitious Primary School in Birmingham. This is a permanent role starting November 2025, offering the opportunity to lead and enhance the school’s Special Educational Needs provision and make a lasting impact on pupils’ learning. Key Information Position: SENCO Start Date: November 2025 Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Term Time Only Salary: MPS/UPS + SENCO Allowance (dependent on experience) Suitable for: Experienced SENCOs or aspiring leaders with SEND expertise About the Role As an experienced and proactive SENCO , you will lead on identifying and supporting pupils with additional needs, ensuring high-quality provision across the school. The successful candidate will embrace the responsibilities of a SENCO , working closely with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to maximise pupil outcomes and inclusion. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the school’s SEN provision as a SENCO Support and challenge pupils with additional needs Advise and guide staff on inclusive teaching strategies as a SENCO Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals Contribute to the school’s ethos of high expectations, achievement, and care What We’re Looking For We welcome applications from candidates who: Hold QTS and relevant SENCO qualification (or are working towards) Are knowledgeable, proactive, and reflective as a SENCO Have excellent leadership and communication skills Can inspire and support staff to provide inclusive and differentiated learning opportunities Thrive in a collaborative and supportive school environment What the School Offers A welcoming and ambitious school community Motivated and confident pupils Excellent professional development opportunities for SENCOs Strong ethos of inclusion, achievement, and care How to Apply If you are a dedicated and inspiring SENCO ready to take on this permanent role in Birmingham, we would love to hear from you.
