Job description
Sociology Teacher required to work on a part-time position from January 2026 Good mixed school based in Oxford Sociology Teacher to join a highly successful and well-resourced department Our client is looking for a Sociology Teacher to work within a highly regarded mixed secondary school in Oxford. The successful Sociology Teacher will be expected to teach across KS4 and KS5. The department is well resourced and led by an approachable and supportive Head of Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing and innovative team with an excellent track record of academic success. The school welcomes applications from both experienced Sociology Teachers and ECTs, as well as overseas-trained teachers with a formal teaching qualification and QTS. In 2023, 78% of students achieved grades 9–4 in English and Maths, while the Sociology department achieved excellent outcomes at A-Level, with a large proportion of students progressing to top universities. Students take part in enrichment activities such as guest lectures, research projects, and social science conferences.
