Job description
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Computing Teacher passionate about inspiring students? An Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" school in Cheltenham is seeking a dynamic and highly capable Computing Teacher to join their thriving and expanding department starting January 2026 or sooner. School Information: This is a popular 11–18 co-educational school with a strong family and community ethos. The school is committed to providing a supportive, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment where students can achieve academic excellence. A recent student survey showed high levels of satisfaction with the learning environment and support systems. About the Computing Department: The Computing Department is a collaborative and supportive team dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of Computing in students. Learners consistently achieve excellent results, and the school is looking for a teacher who can contribute to this success. Staff are encouraged to pursue professional development and to embrace innovative teaching practices. Responsibilities: • Teach Computing across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 as an option. • Contribute to curriculum planning and development. • Assess, grade, and monitor student progress effectively. • Undertake pastoral care and form tutor responsibilities. Qualifications and Experience: • Degree in Computing or a related subject. • PGCE or QTS. • Experience teaching Computing at KS3/4. • ECTs are encouraged to apply.
