Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring art lessons to students across various age groups and abilities. Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and encourages creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression. Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments. Provide constructive feedback and support to students, helping them to refine their skills and build confidence in their artistic abilities. Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages experimentation and a love for the arts. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, participate in professional development, and contribute to the overall success of the school. Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, such as art clubs, exhibitions, and community art projects, to enrich the students’ educational experience. Maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians, and the wider school community. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field. A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). Proven experience teaching art at secondary school level is preferred. Strong knowledge of various art techniques, mediums, and history. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creativity and artistic potential.
