Job description
A well-regarded secondary school in West Yorkshire is seeking a calm, reliable, and compassionate First Aid Officer to join their pastoral and support team. This is a vital role within the school, supporting student wellbeing, safeguarding, and day-to-day medical needs in a busy secondary environment. The Role You will be the first point of contact for students and staff requiring medical support during the school day. The role involves delivering first aid care, maintaining accurate medical records, and working closely with pastoral staff, safeguarding leads, and senior leadership. Key responsibilities include: Providing first aid treatment to students and staff Assessing injuries and deciding on appropriate next steps Maintaining accurate medical and incident records Managing medical rooms and supplies Supporting students with ongoing medical needs and care plans Liaising with parents, staff, and external professionals where required Supporting safeguarding procedures and school policies Assisting with risk assessments and medical provision for trips and events The School Environment This West Yorkshire secondary school offers a structured and supportive working environment with clear safeguarding procedures and strong pastoral systems.
