Job description
A highly successful secondary school in Gloucestershire is seeking a motivated Biology ECT to join their Science department from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher who is keen to inspire students with engaging Biology lessons and benefit from an outstanding induction and mentoring programme. Key Details • Full-time, permanent Biology ECT role starting January 2026 • Thriving secondary school in Gloucestershire with excellent academic record • Teach Biology across KS3–KS4, with opportunities to gain KS5 teaching experience • Comprehensive ECT induction programme and professional support Experience and Qualifications • PGCE in Biology or Science with QTS (or due to be awarded QTS by January 2026) • Strong subject knowledge and ability to inspire student curiosity • Commitment to raising attainment and engaging learners through creative teaching • Enthusiasm for contributing to extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs • Legal right to work in the UK School Information • Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ with strong GCSE and A-Level results in Science subjects • Excellent resources including modern laboratories and specialist equipment • Supportive staff culture with mentors for each ECT • CPD opportunities including subject-specific training and career progression • A culture of high expectations balanced with a focus on wellbeing Salary • Paid on MPS in line with experience Application • To be considered for this Biology ECT role, please forward an updated CV as soon as possible.
