A creative and inclusive Mixed Secondary School in Southall is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our Technology department on a part-time, fixed-term basis. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to explore the world of food, develop their culinary skills, and foster a lifelong appreciation for healthy eating. About Our Learning Community: Our school is committed to providing a broad and balanced education that values creativity, practical skills, and healthy lifestyles. We encourage students to explore the science and art of food, develop their culinary techniques, and apply their knowledge to real-world situations. The Technology department is a well-equipped and collaborative team, dedicated to delivering engaging and practical lessons. Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as cooking clubs, food festivals, and participation in culinary competitions, to enhance student learning and provide opportunities for students to explore their interests. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Experience teaching Food Technology to GCSE level, with a focus on both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and culinary skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. A passion for fostering culinary skills and healthy eating habits in young people. Knowledge of a wide range of culinary techniques, nutritional principles, and food safety standards. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school. Benefits: Flexible part-time hours to suit your availability. Competitive salary (pro-rata MPS/UPS + Outer London Weighting). Access to well-equipped food technology kitchens, resources, and culinary equipment to support food technology teaching and learning.
