Job description
A vibrant 11–18 school in Essex is seeking a passionate PE ECT to join its energetic and supportive Physical Education department from January 2026. The school is known for excellent student engagement, well-maintained facilities and a positive team culture. The Role You’ll teach PE at KS3–KS4 with units built around skill progression, tactical understanding, technique modelling and physical literacy. Lessons include clear routines, practical demonstrations, guided practice phases and structured warm-up and cool-down sequences. Departmental schemes include pre-written assessment grids, equipment lists and differentiated task cards. School Highlights The school has a strong sporting reputation, with facilities including a sports hall, fitness suite, multi-purpose courts and full-size pitches. The PE department is supportive and collaborative, offering shared SoWs, coaching templates, assessment criteria and after-school club opportunities to help new teachers gain confidence.
