Science Technician – Good School in Croydon Location: Croydon, London Start Date: January Contract Type: Full-time, permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Are you passionate about supporting young people in their scientific learning? A well-regarded secondary school in Croydon is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Science Technician to join their successful Science Department. About the School This Good rated school (Ofsted) has a strong reputation for academic excellence and a supportive, collaborative environment. The Science Department is well-equipped, innovative, and committed to engaging students through practical, hands-on science. The Role As a Science Technician, you will: Prepare and set up materials, equipment, and experiments for science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Ensure laboratories are clean, safe, and well-organised. Maintain and store equipment and chemicals safely in line with health and safety regulations. Support teachers and students during practical lessons. Assist with stock management and ordering supplies. The Ideal Candidate: Has experience working in a school science department or a relevant laboratory setting. Demonstrates strong organisational and communication skills. Has a good understanding of laboratory safety and handling of scientific equipment. Holds a science qualification (GCSE/A-Level or higher) or equivalent experience.
