PE Teacher – Fantastic Specialist Independent School – Lambeth Role: PE Teacher Nature: Full-Time, Permanent Start: ASAP Salary: Dependent on Experience A fantastic specialist independent school in Lambeth is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join their dynamic team. This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate teacher to work in a supportive and inclusive environment , where you will have the chance to inspire and encourage students with special educational needs (SEN) in their physical education journey. You will deliver high-quality PE lessons that help students build confidence, develop physical skills, and enjoy the benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle. Role Highlights: Full-time, permanent position at a specialist independent school in Lambeth Teach PE to students with a variety of special educational needs (SEN) , including autism, learning difficulties, and SEMH Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons , ensuring all students can participate and benefit from physical activity Encourage students to engage in physical fitness and sports, fostering a sense of teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students, using differentiation strategies to ensure inclusivity Work closely with SEN support staff , therapists , and other teachers to create a holistic approach to students’ development Promote healthy lifestyles and positive physical activity as part of the school’s curriculum Encourage and support students in building social skills through group activities and sports Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching PE , ideally in a special educational needs (SEN) setting, or working with students with additional learning needs Strong understanding of how to adapt PE lessons for students with SEN A passionate and enthusiastic approach to physical education, with the ability to inspire students Ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and motivating environment for students of all abilities Excellent communication and teamworking skills Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
