Job description
A well-regarded SEN school in Surrey is seeking a reliable and proactive Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance, and security of the school site, starting ASAP. This is a vital operational role supporting a specialist learning environment and ensuring the site is safe, secure, and well presented for pupils, staff, and visitors. The Role You will take responsibility for the smooth running of the school premises, working closely with senior leaders and support staff. The role suits someone with a hands-on approach who understands the importance of consistency, safety, and responsiveness in an SEN setting. Key Responsibilities Day-to-day management, maintenance, and security of the school site Opening and closing the premises as required Carrying out basic repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep Ensuring health & safety compliance across buildings and grounds Liaising with contractors and monitoring site works Supporting school events and occasional out-of-hours requirements Experience and Qualifications Previous experience as a Site Manager, Caretaker, or Facilities professional Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills Good knowledge of health & safety procedures Calm, reliable, and flexible approach suited to an SEN environment Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) The School This SEN school in Surrey is known for its supportive ethos, strong leadership, and commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for pupils with additional needs.
