Job description
A vibrant and creative secondary school in Haringey is seeking an enthusiastic Art Technician to provide high-quality support across the Art & Design department from January 2026 . This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with an artistic background, excellent organisational skills and the ability to contribute to a thriving creative environment. Art Technician required from January 2026 Haringey-based school with strong Creative Arts provision and dedicated studio spaces. You will support KS3–KS5 Art, including Fine Art, Textiles, Graphic Design and Photography. The role includes preparing materials, maintaining equipment, supporting workshops and organising displays. Experience and Qualifications Experience within an Art or Design environment (education or professional). Strong practical skills in materials preparation, tool handling and studio organisation. Confidence supporting Photography equipment, including lighting, cameras and printing (training available). Ability to manage stock, monitor resources and maintain clean and safe studio environments. Flexible, creative and proactive approach to supporting students and teachers. School Information The school’s Art department is well-known across the borough for its strong outcomes, ambitious exhibitions and vibrant curriculum. Facilities include specialist studios, a digital design suite, a kiln room, textile machinery and a photography space with professional equipment. The teaching team is collaborative, supportive and values the contribution of technicians in maintaining a creative and safe learning environment. Students are enthusiastic, respectful and take pride in their creative work. The school places strong emphasis on celebrating artistic achievement through exhibitions, showcases and community collaborations. Technicians work closely with teachers to prepare engaging projects and support A-Level coursework development.
