Job description
A welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a passionate and committed Music Teacher to join their department. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive school where the arts are valued and students are encouraged to develop confidence, creativity, and musical skill. The Role You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to KS5 depending on experience. The role focuses on delivering engaging lessons in performance, composition, listening, and music theory, while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering high-quality Music lessons aligned with the curriculum Teaching performance, composition, appraisal, and theory Supporting students in developing confidence and technical musical skills Assessing progress and providing clear, constructive feedback Contributing to ensembles, rehearsals, concerts, and school performances Working collaboratively within a creative and supportive department The School Environment This Bournemouth secondary school offers a calm, structured learning environment with clear expectations and strong pastoral support.
