Job description
A highly regarded independent school in Bristol is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Admissions to lead and develop the school’s admissions function. This is a senior role with responsibility for driving pupil recruitment, managing the end-to-end admissions process, and acting as a key ambassador for the school. The Role You will have overall responsibility for admissions strategy and operations, ensuring a professional, efficient, and welcoming experience for prospective families from first enquiry through to enrolment. Working closely with the Head and senior leadership team, you will play a central role in shaping the school’s future intake and sustaining strong pupil numbers. Key responsibilities include: Leading the admissions process across all entry points Developing and delivering admissions and recruitment strategy Managing enquiries, visits, assessments, offers, and enrolments Acting as a key point of contact for prospective parents and pupils Organising and hosting open days, tours, and admissions events Using data to forecast demand, track conversion, and inform planning Working closely with marketing colleagues on messaging and outreach Managing admissions systems, records, and compliance Line-managing admissions staff where applicable The School Environment This independent school in Bristol is known for its strong academic reputation, excellent pastoral care, and professional working culture.
