The school combines historic character with modern facilities and educates pupils from primary through to Sixth Form. The Headteacher’s office plays a central role in governance, stakeholder engagement and strategic planning — and this position sits at the centre of that work. The Role As Executive PA, you will provide comprehensive, confidential and strategic administrative support to the Headteacher while acting as a key liaison between leadership, governors, parents and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include: • Managing the Headteacher’s complex diary, prioritising meetings and commitments • Preparing high-level correspondence, reports and board papers • Coordinating governor meetings, agendas and minutes • Handling sensitive communication with professionalism and discretion • Supporting strategic projects and whole-school events • Acting as a central point of contact for senior external visitors • Maintaining confidential records in line with GDPR requirements You will work closely with other senior administrative staff to ensure seamless operations across the school. The Environment This independent school operates with strong governance, refined communication structures and high expectations of professionalism. The Headteacher’s office is well-resourced and organised, with clear systems in place. The school community includes engaged parents, articulate pupils and supportive governors. As such, the role requires confidence, diplomacy and attention to detail. Who We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will: • Have significant PA or executive support experience (school experience desirable) • Demonstrate exceptional organisational and diary management skills • Possess excellent written communication and minute-taking ability • Be highly discreet and confident handling confidential matters • Be proactive, calm under pressure and solution-focused Experience supporting senior leaders or working within an independent or corporate environment would be advantageous. What’s On Offer • Competitive salary within the independent sector • Term-time working pattern with structured hours • Supportive leadership and professional working environment • Opportunities for professional development • Free on-site parking and term-time meals This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled executive administrator to work within a respected Birmingham independent school where professionalism, discretion and strategic support are highly valued.
