Job description
A creative and enthusiastic Music ECT is required to join a vibrant Music department in a Good-rated secondary school in Watford from January . This position offers a supportive induction and real opportunities to build your professional identity as a Music teacher. About the Role: You will teach KS3–KS4 Music , delivering lessons that promote performance confidence, musical appreciation, and composition skills. The department has excellent facilities including rehearsal rooms, digital composition software, and performance spaces. You will also have the opportunity to support school concerts, choirs, instrumental ensembles, and extra-curricular rehearsal sessions. School Information: The school has a caring and inclusive ethos rooted in strong pastoral support and shared expectations. Staff collaborate regularly, and the senior leadership team places a strong emphasis on wellbeing and workload awareness. The Music team are passionate and work together to ensure Music remains a valued and visible subject across the school. Candidate Requirements: PGCE / QTS Music Confident musician and classroom communicator Passion for performance and ensemble direction Salary: MPS1–MPS2.
