Job description
The Headteacher of this highly regarded Outstanding secondary school is looking to appoint a dependable and practical Caretaker to support the maintenance, security, and presentation of the school site. This is an important role within the school community, ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes responsibility seriously. This position offers long-term stability within a well-run school that has clear systems, supportive leadership, and high standards across the site. What the school is looking for: Ilford Immediate or January Start Caretaker Full-Time | Permanent Experience in caretaking, site work, or facilities maintenance Ability to complete routine maintenance and minor repairs Responsibility for opening, locking, and site security Understanding of health and safety requirements A reliable, flexible, and proactive approach Good communication and teamwork skills The successful Caretaker will work closely with school leadership and site staff to ensure the school environment remains safe, secure, and welcoming. School Information This is an Outstanding 11–16 secondary school located in Ilford, known for its positive working culture, strong leadership team, and well-maintained facilities.
