Job description
A well-established and busy secondary school in Colchester is seeking an organised, professional, and approachable Admissions Assistant to join their administrative team. This is a full-time, permanent role starting ASAP, providing essential support for the management of student admissions, enrolment processes, and related administrative duties. About the Role As an Admissions Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the school’s admissions process. You will work closely with the school office, leadership team, and prospective families to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient handling of enquiries, applications, and student records. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. You will be the first point of contact for parents and students applying to the school and will provide guidance throughout the admissions process. Key Responsibilities • Processing and managing admissions applications and enrolment forms • Responding to enquiries from parents, prospective students, and external agencies • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records in school databases • Assisting with admissions-related reporting and data management • Coordinating admissions events, open days, and school tours • Ensuring compliance with school policies, safeguarding, and GDPR regulations • Supporting other administrative tasks as required by the leadership team About the School This Colchester secondary school is recognised for strong academic outcomes, excellent student care, and a collaborative, supportive staff culture.
