Job description
School Status & Location Sector: Established Independent School (with Sixth Form). Borough: Brent (Inner London, England). Start Date: Permanent, full-time appointment commencing January 2026. The Opportunity & School Profile We are recruiting a passionate English Teacher committed to inspiring literary scholarship and superb communication skills. The ideal candidate will challenge students to engage deeply with canonical and contemporary texts, driving exceptional examination results at both GCSE and A-Level. Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope Literary Scholarship: Instructing English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level. Critical Engagement: Cultivating highly sophisticated analytical skills and persuasive written and oral argumentation. Academic Development: Providing high-quality feedback and leading workshops to raise the standard of extended essay writing. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Degree in English (or related field) and QTS. Extensive experience teaching the A-Level curriculum. Salary: Excellent remuneration package compensated on the school's independent pay scale, reflecting Inner London weighting.
