Job description
A highly selective independent Mixed School in Islington, Inner London, renowned for its outstanding academic success and progression to top universities, is seeking an experienced Economics Teacher for a Permanent, Full-Time position, commencing January 2026. Compensation & Contract Job Title: Economics Teacher Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Start Date: January 2026 Salary: Highly competitive independent school salary, reflecting the Inner London region. The Role The successful Economics Teacher will manage a full timetable, delivering rigorous instruction in Economics and Business across Key Stages 4 (GCSE) and 5 (A-Level). You will join a high-performing Social Sciences faculty, benefiting from exceptional resources and small, intellectually motivated classes. The Economics Teacher is expected to contribute to the school's enrichment programme by running an investment challenge or debating society, fostering a strong culture of financial literacy. This permanent post offers the Economics Teacher a stable environment with the professional freedom to deliver a challenging and inspiring curriculum. The role requires the Economics Teacher to mentor highly able students preparing for applications to Russell Group and overseas universities. You will be fully involved in departmental assessment and contributing to the intellectual life of the school as the Economics Teacher.
