Science Teacher – Fantastic PRU – Wandsworth – ASAP Start Role: Science Teacher Nature: Full-Time, Permanent Start: ASAP Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) A fantastic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Wandsworth is looking for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team immediately. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with students who face challenges in mainstream education, providing them with the support and inspiration they need to succeed in Science and beyond. Role Highlights: Full-time, permanent position at a fantastic PRU in Wandsworth Teach Science to small, mixed-ability classes, focusing on both theoretical and practical learning Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students Create a supportive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment where students can develop confidence in their academic abilities Collaborate closely with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals to ensure effective learning strategies are in place Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles Foster a positive relationship with students to encourage their academic, social, and emotional growth Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching Science, ideally in a PRU, alternative provision, or SEN setting Strong understanding of how to support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and other additional learning needs A creative, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching Excellent communication and classroom management skills Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
