Job description
A leading Outstanding Ofsted-rated comprehensive school in Enfield, North London, built on clear principles of high aspiration and support, seeks a Geography Teacher ECT for a Permanent, Full-Time position, starting in January 2026. Compensation & Contract Job Title: Geography Teacher ECT Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Start Date: January 2026 Salary: Paid on the Outer London Main Pay Scale (ECT/MPS), with dedicated time for induction and excellent benefits. The Role The successful Geography Teacher ECT will deliver high-quality, stimulating Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (GCSE). The Geography Teacher ECT will be fully enrolled onto a comprehensive, supported Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction programme with a dedicated mentor. The Geography Teacher ECT is required to run engaging fieldwork trips, utilising the local area to enhance students' learning. This permanent role offers a supportive environment focused on the rapid professional growth of the Geography Teacher ECT. The school seeks a resilient and motivated Geography Teacher ECT who is committed to a clear, values-driven approach. The appointed Geography Teacher ECT will work collaboratively within the Humanities faculty to share best practice. Applications are strongly encouraged from graduates ready to excel as a Geography Teacher ECT. The institution is committed to ensuring every Geography Teacher ECT achieves their full potential. Requirements A degree in Geography or a related field, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) expected by January 2026. Willingness to fully commit to the school's induction programme and professional development schedule. Ability to deliver challenging lessons while ensuring all students have equal access to the curriculum. A focus on raising the attainment of every student and maintaining excellent classroom practice.
