Job description
An Outstanding-rated secondary school in Bristol is seeking a creative, skilled, and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join their highly successful department on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to teach in a high-performing school where creativity is genuinely valued and students are motivated, well behaved, and eager to engage with the arts. The Role You will teach Art across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and departmental need. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, inspiring lessons that develop students’ technical ability, creative thinking, and confidence across a range of media and techniques. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons aligned with the curriculum Teaching drawing, painting, mixed media, and other creative processes Assessing, moderating, and providing feedback on coursework and projects Encouraging originality, experimentation, and independent artistic practice Maintaining high standards of behaviour, presentation, and engagement Contributing to departmental planning, displays, and enrichment activities The School Environment This Outstanding school in Bristol is recognised for its calm, purposeful learning environment and consistently high academic standards.
