Job description
We are currently seeking a dependable and proactive Caretaker to join a successful and supportive secondary school in Croydon, South London . The leadership team is highly supportive and takes pride in ensuring the school site provides a clean, secure, and inspiring environment for learning. The school boasts excellent facilities including specialist classrooms, science laboratories, and a modern sports complex. Staff work collaboratively to maintain the highest standards across all areas of school life. The facilities team plays an integral role in ensuring that the site is safe, well-presented, and fully functional throughout the school day. Role Information You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day upkeep, security, and maintenance of the school site. Duties include opening and closing the premises, carrying out minor repairs, ensuring health and safety compliance, liaising with contractors, and assisting with school events. This part-time role is ideal for someone looking for flexible hours while making a meaningful contribution to a busy and rewarding school environment.
