Job description
Finance Assistant required January 2026 Mixed secondary school based in Oldham Finance Assistant to join a structured and supportive finance department Our Client is looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations within a large secondary school in Oldham. The role involves processing invoices, assisting with reconciliations, preparing financial reports, logging purchase orders and supporting the Finance Manager with routine accounting tasks. School Information This 11–18 school educates approximately 1,250 pupils and operates within a highly organised administrative framework. The school is well established within the local community and is known for strong behaviour standards, consistent academic performance and reliable operational systems. Staff describe the working environment as stable, welcoming and professionally run. The finance team is experienced and collaborative, offering structured support for new starters alongside ongoing training and clear procedures.
