SENCO – Inclusive Secondary School – Barnet 📍 Location: Barnet 📅 Start Date: ASAP 📄 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent 💰 Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience) Are you an experienced and passionate SENCO looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? A supportive and inclusive secondary school in Barnet is seeking a dedicated SENCO to join their team and play a key role in shaping the learning experience for students with SEN. Your Role: 🔹 Lead and manage the school’s SEN provision, ensuring high-quality support for students with diverse needs. 🔹 Oversee the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs. 🔹 Support and advise teachers on best SEN practices and differentiation strategies. 🔹 Liaise with parents, external agencies, and local authorities to ensure holistic student support. 🔹 Monitor student progress, ensuring interventions are effective and impactful. 🔹 Ensure compliance with SEN policies and contribute to whole-school inclusion initiatives. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to obtain it). ✅ Experience in leading SEN provision in a school setting. ✅ Strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practices. ✅ Excellent communication and leadership skills. ✅ A proactive and solution-focused approach to supporting students and staff. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
