Sociology Teacher - Kingston Upon Thames - Inspire and Empower Do you have a passion for Sociology and a desire to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sociology Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Kingston upon Thames. About the Sociology Teacher Role: This is an exciting opportunity to teach Sociology at Key Stage 5 (A-Level), inspiring students with engaging lessons and contemporary sociological perspectives. You will play a key role in shaping young minds and preparing them for future success. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Sociology lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities. Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore sociological concepts and develop their critical thinking skills. Assess and monitor student progress in Sociology , providing constructive feedback and support. Contribute to the development of the Sociology curriculum and departmental resources. Stay up-to-date with current sociological research and debates. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Sociology teaching. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Sociology or a related field. Experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level, specifically A-Level. A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Sociology and A-Level exam specifications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
