The Role The school seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology Teacher to join its thriving Social Sciences Department from January 2026. The successful candidate will teach Psychology at A Level, working with bright, motivated pupils who take great pride in their studies. You will: Deliver engaging, academically rigorous lessons that promote independent thinking and curiosity. Inspire pupils to explore key psychological theories and research methods. Prepare students effectively for public examinations, maintaining excellent academic outcomes. Contribute to departmental development and enrichment activities such as clubs, lectures, or study trips. Play an active role in the wider life of the school community, including pastoral and co-curricular involvement. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE). Possess a strong academic background in Psychology or a closely related field. Demonstrate the ability to inspire confidence, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity in pupils. Have experience teaching A Level Psychology, or a clear aptitude for sixth form teaching. Be committed to supporting the school’s ethos and contributing to its co-curricular life.
