Job description
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brent is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from ASAP . This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning at a crucial stage in Key Stage 1, within a supportive and collaborative school environment. About the Role - Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the Year 1 curriculum. - Support pupils in developing literacy, numeracy, and other key skills following the KS1 framework. - Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported. - Use assessment to monitor pupil progress and plan next steps effectively. - Collaborate closely with colleagues, support staff, and families to support pupil outcomes. - Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and school events. What We’re Looking For - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). - Recent or relevant experience teaching Year 1 or KS1. - Strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and assessment expectations. - Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills. - Reflective, adaptable, and collaborative approach to teaching. - Commitment to inclusion, high standards, and ongoing professional development.
