Job description
Wayman Education is seeking a Music ECT Teacher for an Outstanding Secondary School in Norwich , starting January . This is a perfect opportunity for a passionate, creative early-career Music teacher to join a high-performing Performing Arts faculty that is known for excellence, innovation, and a supportive culture. The school prides itself on consistently outstanding student outcomes and exceptional behaviour. The Music department plays a central role in school life, with an extremely active extra-curricular programme including chamber choirs, jazz ensembles, orchestral groups, musical theatre productions, and termly performance events. You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4 , with opportunities to support or teach A-Level Music as you build confidence. The curriculum is well-sequenced, imaginative, and encourages analytical listening, practical performance, and creative composition. The school encourages innovative lesson approaches, and ECTs are supported to try new ideas without fear of failure. Facilities include: A purpose-built Music block Soundproof rehearsal rooms A digital recording studio Grand pianos and acoustic practice rooms Industry-standard software and hardware The school prides itself on its professional culture: supportive leadership, research-informed practices, open-door observations, and a deeply committed staff team who believe in the power of the arts to transform learning. Experience and Qualifications Music-related Degree PGCE or QTS Confidence teaching KS3/4 Music Desire to contribute to extra-curricular programme Salary Paid to scale MPS1–MPS2.
