Job description
A tech-forward secondary school in Hull is looking to appoint a Computer Science ECT from January 2026 to teach across KS3 and KS4. This full-time role offers structured support and access to the latest digital teaching tools. Computer Science ECT required from January 2026 Full-time role in a modern Hull secondary school Teach KS3 and KS4 Computer Science Ideal for a Computer Science ECT who enjoys exploring coding, systems, and real-world digital applications with students. Experience and Qualifications QTS with Computer Science or IT specialism Successful school-based training experience Enthusiastic about developing innovative lessons Legal right to work in the UK School Information This is a tech-forward, innovative secondary school with approximately 1,050 students, including a Sixth Form of 210 students. The school is recognised for its strong STEM provision, modern facilities, and commitment to preparing students for future careers in the digital economy. The Computer Science department benefits from coding suites, interactive platforms, and cross-curricular STEM initiatives that make digital learning accessible and exciting. GCSE results in Computer Science are above national averages, with around 80% of students achieving grades 4–9, and the subject continues to grow in popularity. ECTs are paired with experienced mentors, receive tailored induction support, and have opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver engaging, real-world projects.
