Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Psychology ECT to join a high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in Swindon . This is a full-time position starting in January 2026 , offering excellent mentoring, structured support, and professional development to help you launch your teaching career successfully. • Psychology ECT required to work full-time • Outstanding mixed secondary school in Swindon • Join a successful and well-resourced Social Sciences department with a comprehensive ECT induction programme This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic new teacher to begin their career in a school renowned for its academic excellence, supportive ethos, and innovative approach to teaching and learning. The successful candidate will teach Psychology across KS4 and KS5 , inspiring students to explore human behaviour, cognition, and research methods in a stimulating and supportive learning environment. Experience and Qualifications • Psychology ECT (PGCE or equivalent completed) • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Psychology education • Commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional growth • Legal right to work in the UK School Information This 11–18 mixed secondary school in Swindon is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and has an exceptional reputation for academic achievement and pastoral care. With approximately 1,400 students on roll and a thriving Sixth Form, the school is oversubscribed and consistently delivers excellent results. In 2024 , a large proportion of A-Level Psychology students achieved A –B grades *, reflecting the department’s strong teaching standards and commitment to academic excellence.
