Job description
Religious Studies Teacher required January 2026 Mixed secondary school based in Basildon RS Teacher to join a thoughtful, inclusive and academically focused Humanities department Our Client is seeking an RS Teacher to deliver KS3 and KS4 within a well-led and reflective Humanities faculty. The successful teacher will deliver Philosophy, Ethics and World Religions as part of a curriculum that promotes respectful debate, ethical awareness and critical thinking. School Information This 11–18 school educates approximately 1,320 pupils and is recognised for its inclusive values, structured academic systems and strong pastoral care. The RS department plays an important role in the personal development curriculum, supporting discussion-based learning and cross-curricular citizenship education. Staff describe the school as purposeful, caring and highly organised. Leadership is approachable and committed to staff wellbeing, offering high-quality CPD, curriculum leadership opportunities and clear progression pathways.
