We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dynamic Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Barking this April 2025. We are committed to continuous development, and we’re looking for a Year 2 Teacher who shares our vision for creating a positive, stimulating classroom that inspires children to love learning and challenge themselves every day. What You’ll Be Doing As our next Year 2 Teacher, you’ll be at the heart of our students’ educational journeys. Your role will include: Teaching with Passion: Designing and delivering engaging, interactive lessons that capture students’ imaginations and help them make meaningful progress in their literacy and numeracy skills. Building Strong Foundations: You’ll support children through the transition from Key Stage 1, ensuring they develop strong academic foundations and a love for learning. Creating a Supportive Atmosphere: Develop a classroom culture where children feel valued, encouraged, and motivated to do their best. Tracking and Supporting Progress: Regularly assess students’ work and provide constructive feedback to support their individual growth. Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with your colleagues to plan, share ideas, and create a rich and varied curriculum that supports all learners. Parental Engagement: Maintain strong, open lines of communication with parents, keeping them updated on their child’s progress and supporting them in their educational journey. School Life: Take part in staff meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities to continue growing and contributing to the wider school community. We Are Looking For Someone Who… Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification. Has experience teaching Year 2 (or a strong desire to do so) and is familiar with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1. Is creative, dynamic, and adaptable, able to meet the diverse needs of our students. Works well in a collaborative team, always willing to share ideas and learn from others. Communicates effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, creating positive relationships across the school community. Has a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to helping children thrive both academically and socially.
