Job description
About the School: We are a nurturing and supportive independent school in Ealing, committed to providing a holistic education that fosters students' creativity, confidence, and self-expression. Our Drama department plays a vital role in enriching students' learning experiences and developing their communication and performance skills. About the Role: Teach Drama across Key Stages 3/4/5, introducing learners to the magic of theatre and performance. Plan and deliver engaging and imaginative lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Use a range of drama techniques and activities, including role-play, improvisation, and movement, to develop students' creativity, confidence, and communication skills. Create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their imaginations and expressing themselves. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Drama curriculum remains relevant and inspiring. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Drama education. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Drama Demonstrates a passion for teaching Drama and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment. Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Drama and relevant early years frameworks. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
