Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate SENCO to join a well-established independent school in Salisbury. This is a key role within the school, offering the opportunity to lead and further develop SEND provision in a calm, supportive environment with small class sizes and strong pastoral care. The school places a clear emphasis on inclusion, wellbeing, and personalised support, ensuring pupils with additional needs are well supported to thrive academically and socially. The Role Leading SEND provision across the school Overseeing EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory requirements Coordinating interventions and support strategies for pupils with additional needs Working closely with teaching staff, senior leaders, parents, and external agencies Advising and supporting staff on inclusive classroom practice Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to whole-school improvement The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) NASENCO qualification (or willingness to complete if not already held) Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and EHCP processes Excellent communication and organisational skills A calm, professional, and pupil-centred approach School Information This independent school in Salisbury is known for its nurturing ethos, supportive leadership, and strong sense of community.
