Job description
Are you a passionate and energetic PE Teacher ready for your next challenge? A high-achieving secondary school in Wolverhampton is looking to appoint a dedicated PE Teacher to join their thriving department from April 2025 . This is a full-time, permanent position, open to both experienced teachers and ECTs. About the School The school is a popular and inclusive 11–18 secondary school with a strong focus on academic success and holistic development. The leadership team is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where every student can excel. Pupils are enthusiastic and respectful, and staff wellbeing is a top priority. About the PE Department The PE department is well-resourced and offers a broad curriculum at KS3, KS4, and KS5. The school has excellent sports facilities including a modern sports hall, fitness suite, and extensive playing fields. The department runs a wide range of extracurricular activities and sports teams, encouraging students of all abilities to participate and succeed. About the Role As a PE Teacher, your responsibilities will include: Teaching PE across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 Planning and delivering inclusive, engaging, and challenging lessons Supporting students’ physical and emotional wellbeing Contributing to curriculum development and whole-school sporting events Taking an active role in extracurricular clubs and competitions Collaborating effectively with colleagues across the school Experience and Qualifications A degree in PE or a related subject QTS or PGCE Experience teaching PE to KS3–KS5 ECTs are encouraged to apply Salary The salary for this PE Teacher role will be paid to scale MPS/UPS , dependent on experience.
