Job description
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced SEN Teacher to join a thriving and inclusive school in Manchester . This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026 , ideal for an educator with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs and helping every child achieve their personal best. SEN Teacher Role · Full-Time · Permanent Contract · January 2026 Start The School This welcoming and inclusive school in Manchester is highly regarded for its strong commitment to supporting children with special educational needs. With a Good Ofsted rating, the school provides a nurturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. The staff work collaboratively to provide personalised support and creative learning opportunities for all children. SEN Teacher Responsibilities · Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of SEN pupils. · Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) to track and support student progress. · Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. · Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to deliver coordinated support. · Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing. · Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SEND best practices and adapt teaching methods accordingly. · Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development. SEN Teacher Requirements · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. · Experience working with children with a range of special educational needs. · Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and effective support strategies. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for inclusive education. · Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
