Job description
Religious Education ECT – Independent School, Wandsworth Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale School Information This inclusive independent school in Wandsworth provides education for students aged 11–18 and is known for its strong values-based education and respectful school community. The school promotes critical thinking, ethical discussion, and cultural understanding across the curriculum. The school offers excellent support for Early Career Teachers, including mentoring, observation opportunities, and structured development programmes. Role Information The school is seeking a thoughtful and reflective Religious Education ECT to teach across KS3 and KS4. You will deliver lessons that encourage philosophical enquiry, ethical debate, and understanding of world religions. You will work closely with experienced colleagues to develop schemes of work and assessments, while receiving guidance and support throughout your ECT induction. Requirements • QTS (or pending QTS) and a degree in RE, Theology, or Philosophy • Interest in discussion-based and enquiry-led learning • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Commitment to professional growth • Inclusive and respectful teaching approach Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible.
