Job description
Are you a passionate Geography Teacher looking to lead and inspire? Join our outstanding Newham school with TLR potential! We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our thriving and well-resourced Humanities department. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to develop their career, with the potential for a TLR for candidates demonstrating leadership qualities and a commitment to the growth of Geography within the school. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially KS5). Inspire a curiosity and understanding of the world and its people in our students. Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and fieldwork opportunities. Potential for a TLR for candidates demonstrating leadership potential in areas such as leading a key stage, fieldwork coordination, or departmental initiatives. Degree in Geography or a closely related field. Proven ability to deliver engaging Geography lessons at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply). Strong subject knowledge across physical and human geography. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated potential for leadership and taking on additional responsibilities within the Geography department (for TLR consideration).
