Job description
A vibrant Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Islington is seeking an ambitious ECT Science Teacher to join their team in January 2026. This is a superb opportunity for a new teacher to receive intensive support and quickly develop their career within a high-achieving Science faculty. About the School The School is a dynamic, successful mixed comprehensive school (Years 7-13). It provides a focused environment where autonomous and intensive thought is encouraged and holistic excellence is nurtured. Pupil success stems from their engagement with practical enquiry. The school is fully committed to every new teacher’s development and wellbeing. Responsibilities The ECT Science Teacher will deliver high-quality instruction in Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (GCSE), with the chance to specialize at A-Level. The teacher is responsible for driving high attainment and promoting advanced theoretical understanding and investigative skills. They must actively participate in the school’s ECT training sessions and continuous professional development (CPD). The ECT Science Teacher is expected to contribute to consistent high academic outcomes and participate proactively in departmental planning. Requirements Holds or is soon to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Has the right to work in the UK. Holds a Degree or has experience teaching Science.
