Job description
Geography Teacher – Lead Studies on Urban & Rural Transition and Drive Fieldwork Skills Across All Key Stages – Braintree A high-achieving secondary school in Braintree (Essex) is seeking an experienced and analytical Geography Teacher with expertise in Human Geography, particularly focusing on urban and rural transition, from January 2026. Geography Teacher required from January 2026 Braintree-based school known for its strong scholarly atmosphere and commitment to contextual learning. Seeking a specialist to lead the development of Human Geography topics, utilizing the local area for relevant case studies and fieldwork. You will teach Geography across KS3-KS5. The role includes planning lessons that develop complex analytical skills related to population, economic change, and land use, preparing students for challenging university courses. A key part of the role is organizing and leading mandatory fieldwork. Experience and Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a relevant degree in Geography. Proven ability to secure high grades at A-Level Geography . Extensive experience in planning and leading safe and effective fieldwork. Willingness to contribute to academic enrichment programs, such as geographical debate clubs.
