Job description
Science Technician – Outstanding Secondary School – Oxford (Oxfordshire) Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale We are seeking a highly organised Science Technician to join an Outstanding secondary school in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The successful candidate will prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons, maintain laboratories and ensure that health and safety standards are met at all times. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a passion for science. School Information: This is an 11 to 18 well-established, Outstanding Ofsted Rated School in Oxford with a strong commitment to high standards, student wellbeing and continuous improvement. The school promotes a supportive and academically focused environment. Students are motivated and achieve strong results in Science. The Science department is well-resourced and plays a key role in the school’s success. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and set up equipment for practical lessons • Maintain laboratory resources and stock • Ensure health and safety compliance • Support teachers during practical sessions • Clean and store equipment safely • Assist with ordering supplies Requirements: • Science-related qualification or experience • Strong organisational skills • Knowledge of health and safety procedures • Ability to work independently and in a team • Good communication skills • School experience (desirable) Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible
