Job description
Finance Officer required January 2026 Mixed secondary school based in Stratford Finance Officer to support daily financial operations and budget management Our Client is seeking a Finance Officer to join a well-established secondary school in Stratford. The successful Finance Officer will be responsible for processing invoices, managing purchase orders, supporting budget tracking, monitoring income streams and assisting with compliance reporting. The role also involves liaising with suppliers, supporting internal audits and ensuring accurate financial record keeping across all departments. School Information This 11–18 secondary school educates approximately 1,350 students and is recognised for its strong organisational structure, clear leadership systems and effective operational management. The school operates modern finance software and structured reporting cycles to ensure full transparency, compliance and financial stability throughout the academic year. Support staff describe the environment as professional, structured and supportive. Leadership values the contribution of the finance team and ensures access to systems training, financial CPD and clear progression routes within the school’s operations structure. The school promotes a calm, efficient working environment with strong interdepartmental communication.
